The Faber Simulation Environment

Modeling and simulating is nowadays a practical and economic process to predict and analyze criticalities that on the real system should be unacceptable either time duration or budget.

Model a system and simulate its behavior is the best way to have a better comprehension of the system, emphasize the system critical paths, test the improvements made to the model before the implementation on the real system.

Faber environment is the suite of modeling and simulation tools that allows you to quickly define, design, and document complex discrete event systems and start model simulations.

The Faber Modeling Language

Faber Simulation Environment has a powerful modeling language: it’s graphical and consists of a very small set of symbols with few and simple syntactic rules. It is based on the Petri Nets formalism used to describe discrete event systems. Faber has added some extensions to this language in order to meet real-time system needs and to allow the design and develop of large systems in the modern development team context.

The Faber modeling language embeds also the entity-relationships formalism by which you can create data models (entity-relationship models or ERMs) to add extended data management capabilities to the system model.
