Faber
Faber is
an integrated suite of modeling and simulation tools targeted to meet the
development needs of discrete event-driven systems. By embracing the
formal language based on Extended Petri Nets and the brand-new graphical
analysis tool, Faber is the tool of choice for modeling, simulating
and analyzing of large-scale mission-critical systems.
Faber Subversion Integration.
Starting from release 2.2 on April 2008 Faber is now integrated with
Subversion the most used open source version control system.
Faber is modular and consists of the following tool:
- Faber
Project Manager, is the main tool that manages the Faber
project and starts all the other simulation tools.
- Faber
Model Manager, is designated to manage the Faber model, that
represents the system to be simulated. Here you can view the logical
dependencies of the model units, build the simulator in order to
validate the model, make a parametric simulation of the model, deploy
the application of the model.
- Faber
Parameter Editor, is the tool that manages the simulation
parameters in order to creates different scenes to simulate the Faber
model.
- Faber
Data Modeler, is the tool that creates entity-relationship models to
adds extended data management capabilities to the Faber models.
- Artifex.Model
Editor, edits a single class by which instantiate the objects of your
models. Here you can draw the Petri net of the Faber model.
- Artifex.Validate,
is the tool that allows to verify graphically the model functionality,
setting breakpoints and proceeding step by step through time.
- Artifex.Measure,
manages all the charts produced during the simulation on the
measurement points set in the model.
- Artifex.Report,
documents the model, inserting in a single HTML file all the
description sections of all elements of the Faber model.
